Mo Manning's Digital Challenge #71 --- Make Your Own Flowers

What is probably THE most popular embellishment on a card?  My guess would be FLOWERS, probably because I use BUNCHES of them.  Some are packaged as embellies, some are silk, some are pressed, and I've even used some gorgeous stickers.  This week Mo Manning's Digital Challenge has us making our own flower embellishments.  Once in awhile I make my own, but with so many gorgeous blooms just waiting to be quickly attached I just don't think much about making them very often.  But after I finished this card I was happy with the outcome.  It's a good thing I had the flowers die set from Spellbinders!

With St. Patrick's Day just a few weeks away I couldn't resist this amazing Little Irish Dancer by Mo.  The dp came from my stash, much of it quite ancient!  The centers of the die cut flowers are brads by Basic Grey and the Kiss Me sticker came from Michael's.

The Little Irish Dancer is colored with Copics.  I love the rich greens -- and I should have kept track of what I used, I know.  The gold trim on the dress is actually a Copic, the only one I know of that is metallic.

I found the sketch over at Anita Be Stamping, a new challenge blog with very talented ladies.

It has been a busy day!  This is my second post of the day and dancing seems to be the theme.  Please scroll on down to see my post with the happiest dancing bunny you will ever see!  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you do something fun this weekend.  I know -- you could go dancing!!

I so wanted my oldest to be an Irish dancer. He never wanted to take lessons and now he's been in musicals for 8 yrs - go figure! LOL
Love your beautifully colored image. She could be my youngest's sister with all that red curly hair! You really know how to showcase an image. I just love Mo Manning's great images!
