First, here is Jason:
I love the dp of old-fashioned valentines like we gave out when we were little kids. For a "boy" card I couldn't bring myself to put lace on it, but this woven trim looks just fine. The plaid bow picks up all the pretty colors of the paper and the red buttons are very fun.
I colored Jason and his big heart with Copics, really laying on the rich red! I love Copics' reds! (You should see the back of the image!)
Next is Nessa:
The card measures 5" x 5" and the entire border is punched with MS punch around set. This is why I love MS punches so much -- the matching border and corner punches are inspired! The lace came from one of our many antique stores here. The button is actually a hard plastic button! I looks crocheted, doesn't it? I probably shouldn't have covered it with the ribbon.
Nessa is also colored with Copics and I went for a nearly-monochromatic scheme. I also deviated from the rich red, but love the corals just as much!
I hope you enjoyed visiting my blog as much as I appreciate you being here. For some truly inspiring ideas be sure to visit Mo's challenge blog. That design team is one of the best in the blogosphere.

Oh Barb...how absolutely stunning, darlin'!! I can't decide which one I like best!! I think I like Jason best...because of the rich colors and the fun DPs from years gone by. On the other hand, Nessa is so dang sweet...and I love the softer colors you used!! That button is such fun!! Oh my...I can't decide...they're BOTH my faves!! hehehe!! So glad you entered them into this week's challenge at Mo's!! Pat Frank
Wow Barb, both cards are stunning! I love that deep red heart the little boy is holding. That lacy looking button is gorgeous and perfect for your girl's card.
Fabulous Valentines Barb!! Beautiful coloring. ~jeni :)
How good to see you posting again sweetie, I've missed seeing your beautiful creations lately but I hope you had a good time with your niece.
Love, love, love these Valentines Barb, couldn't choose a favourite as they're both just perfect.

WOW! Barb, I forget from one time to the next just how in awe I am of your beautiful artwork! These fabulous images are colored to absolute perfection, and I LOVE both cards. Your snowy pictures are great, and right now, we've got just over a foot of snow on the ground, with some drifts still in the 4 ft. range. Not much melting here, and there won't be until the weekend. Stay warm, my friend!
Love ya,
Lorie
Both of these are wonderful! I love the DP on the 'boy' card. Glad you joined us in Mo's Challenge.
Barb,
Thank you for the kind words on my blog. What a small world! Both from SUX. Copic certified - how cool is that? I'm very jealous. There is so much I would like to learn - better shading and how to color with my indoor voice instead of my OUTDOOR voice! I can't seem to NOT slather on the color.
I'm a follower now - so will pop in from time to time.
Thanks again.

Both gorgeous creations but oh the mix of coral and red on that one is just so beautiful. Love it.
