Bah! Humbug! Challenge #4 -- Oldie but Goodie

This week the ladies at Bah! Humbug! Hall have us dusting off oldies but goodies in our craft stash. There have been several challenges in the blogosphere calling for those neglected toys and tools so I am happy to do another one.  It helps to allay the guilt for having so much stuff!

I have to say, though, that this is not a card I am very happy with, and almost didn't post it.  But since I missed last week's challenge, and running out of time on this one, I'll give it a shot.  We all have our flubs but we love each other anyway, warts and all.  Right?  Ok, here goes.................

I can hear it now:  "Barb, what were you thinking????"  Well, here are some arguments in my defense:
  • I don't think I have ever used the smallest Nesties circles, until now
  • This package of cute little brads was getting dusty in the drawer
  • The MS border of presents was a left over from another card (never waste a good border)
  • I went for an abstract design and something that could be fun for kids to put together (yes, I played the "kids card")
  • Went for the country colors with Kraft CS, twine bows, burlap mesh, and scraps of green and red CS for the circles.
Ok, here's a better idea:  hop on over to Bah! Humbug! for some real inspiration by the uber-talented ladies at BH Hall and the other participants.  But thank you for stopping by here.  I truly appreciate it.

Barb, you're so funny! I think it turned out cool! IKWYM about about not wanting to miss the challenge and scrambling a bit to fit it in and then... (Not that I'm saying you did that, well actually YOU said you did that LOL, but it IS late in the game here. Of course that's when I ALWAYS post my B!H!) Anyway, LOVE the pressies and burlap background. xxD

LOL Barb - you are such a hoot! I really can't see what you have to be disappointed about 'cos I think your card is great! Those dinky wee brads should NEVER have been abandoned in the drawer and as far as I'm concerned that's the ONLY thing you should be ashamed of. Don't let it happen again lol! Thank you for sharing with us at Bah! Humbug!

oh Barb I can't type for laughing - you are just so funny and we love you at Bah! Humbug! you know that.
You may not be completely happy with your card but it sure looks like it was fun to create and it does have a certain something about it. I love those two colours together and the way you have played around with the positioning of the circle die cuts to get that bold shape is great.

Stop running yourself down and have a great weekend.
