Mo's Digital Challenge #16 --- Shades of Gray

*** This is my second post of the day, so please be sure to scroll down to see the ICS Challenge, too! ***

I'm catching up on posting challenge cards today.  Last weekend I was out of town for my grandniece's 3rd birthday party.  We had such a great time!

Just before I went out of town the FedEx man brought me a package with 36 new Copic colors!!  Woo Hoo!  I can't wait to do more coloring.  However, you won't be seeing any colors in this post because Mo's Digital Challenge is "Shades of Gray".  I get so charged up with the monochromatic color schemes!  In fact, I did two cards for this challenge --- just couldn't help it!

This illustration of the teenager texting just seemed to be perfect for trying out shades of gray.  I used Copic Warm Grays W00, W1, W3, W5, W7.  The card blank is a warm gray card stock and the DP is from my stash of scrapbook papers.  The metal bar brads have been sitting in my embellies drawer for ages, but look terrific on this card.  Mo's illustrations are so much fun to color whether it be monochromatic or the whole rainbow!

The second card uses one of Mo's illustrations that makes me giggle outloud!  This card is going to a friend who is facing many challenges, not the least of which is cancer.  The sentiment inside hasn't been written yet, but it will be one to bring a chuckle because my friend loves to laugh.

This "Slightly Chubby Fairy" is colored with Cool Gray Copics C00, C1, C3, C5, C7, C9. Rather than gray skin I used E00 and E02 Copics.  She is sparkling with another shade of gray: silver!  I coated her dress in Shimmerz silver with Stickles silver accents.  The card stock is a shimmery gray.  Using vellum I tried out my new butterflies Impressabilities for the background.  Nestabilities dies made the die cuts of the image and the metallic star paper behind.  The butterflies are Martha Stewart punch, a layer of the gray metallic under a layer of vellum.  Tiny rhinestones sparkle the butterfly bodies as well as scattered around the vellum and the fairy's wing.  Metallic gray ribbon finishes it all off.

Again, I had so much fun coloring and creating this card.

You owe it to yourself to take a hop over to Mo's Digital Challenge.  The DT is one of the most talented around as you'll see in their projects.  Oh, and browse through the participants, too!

Thank you for stopping by.  I appreciate your time.
