Mo Manning's Christmas Fairy holds the candy of Christmas -- candy canes! I have a habit of coloring images without a specific dp or theme in mind, which often results in unusual or non-traditional color schemes. This was one of those times. I wanted a chiffon-like feel to her dress and wings so went with a light peach Copics combo. The candy canes, of course, are red and white, but an understated red. Well, then came today when I wanted to use this image and wasn't sure what paper to use. I don't have any Christmas dp to match, but the idea of embossing for texture solved my dilema. The card base is embossed with Cuttlebug Brocade. The Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 16 is turned 45 degrees to make a better background for the image. Using 2 sizes I made the frame to match the card base then mounted that on a full sized tracing made from ivory cs. The ivory is embossed with Cuttlebug Polka Dots.
Here's a close-up and below is the inside with the labels to match the front. I actually found candy cane stickers in my stash so used one to accent the inside.
Well, enough about my card. Be sure to visit Bah! Humbug! and meet Judith and Fiona, guest designers for the month of March. As Ann and Max said in their post, "you're about to be SPOILED STUPID!" That's how fantastic their creations are! Now, be off with ya --- of course feel free to leave me a little love before ya go!

Love the image and the colours and, of course, the embossed texture. You might like to also enter it into my CHNC challenge 10 which this week is also asking for the use of embossing - and there's a random prize this week x
