Sassy Cheryl Challenge #44 --- The Color Blue

Happy New Year, everyone!  It is so hard to get back to a routine after so much holiday fun. But one thing I always look forward to putting back in my routine is making cards and posting to my favorite challenges.  Today I am posting this "blue" card for Sassy Cheryl's Challenge.  She made it really easy for me this week by using the color blue --- my very favorite color!!

I love the peace and simplicity of this image called "Watching the Star".  I kept the card simple, too.  The cardstock is some I love to use.  It is navy blue with white flecks.   I attached the gold frame which is the trim of a Nestabilities die cut.  With fussy cutting the image I was able to create depth.  Then simple rhinestones and the "Faith" charm.

I used Copics with enough blender to create a water color effect.  This has a holiday feel to it, but I think I am going to use it for a friend who is going through a rough time.  We all can use our faith and look to the star at all times in our lives.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please be sure to hop over to Sassy Cheryl's to see the DT's amazing projects! Join in with your project, too!
